With financial management, leadership, integration and strategy development experience in listed companies, Greg will support the APEM Group financial and commercial function. Based in Melbourne, he is looking forward to providing in-country support for a new and exciting pipeline of projects.
Working in a corporate environment, there’s always the opportunity to learn processes, to upskill and teach everyone that finance isn’t just about spreadsheets. I’m joining a large team of finance professionals at APEM Group and calling them all accountants does a disservice to what they do. To do a good job, you need an awareness of regulatory concerns and an awareness of the business. My role is to help everyone make good decisions, and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in.

Greg’s time at APEM Group has started with a bang, as September 2024 saw the acquisition of Attexo, one of Australia’s leading providers of advisory and environmental consultancy services to the renewable energy sector, marking APEM Group’s second acquisition in Australia this year and their eighth overall.
Over his career, Greg has supported business growth through acquisitions, building corporate structures that enable scalable growth, higher visibility, greater financial sustainability and stability. His experience in change management will be key in supporting APEM Group growth strategy.
Finance is much more than smoothing processes, developing systems and providing information. During acquisitions, we need relationships between businesses that are optimal, professional and functional. But it’s the relationships between people that are important. Lockdown was tough for those of us in Melbourne, and Teams calls became somewhat transactional. Now we have time to get to know one another and build cohesion, and to have those informal conversations that are so important for team culture. It’s been a jam packed few weeks, but everyone has been so welcoming.

Greg leads a busy in Melbourne with his wife and two small sons. As Treasurer of the local cricket club, he plays cricket as often as possible, when injuries allow.
