With a background in water engineering in infrastructure development and flood risk management, Jonathan brings over two decades of experience to APEM Group.
Jonathan has successfully led international design delivery and managed national infrastructure developments, working with clients on high profile projects such as HS2. His work for the Environment Agency and in operations roles in infrastructure, water and environmental services has given him an insight into the needs of clients and regulators for large projects.

Jonathan has maintained his links with the Environment Agency as a non-executive member of the board of the Trent Regional Flood and Coastal Committee, where he provides strategic leadership and tactical advice on flood defence investment, statutory responsibilities and funding partners, as well as community engagement and support on flood risk and coastal erosion issues.
It is a pleasure to welcome Jon to the APEM Group Water Sector leadership team. It is an exciting time for the environmental consultancy sector as sustainable development and use of our natural resources becomes an ever increasing focus of industry and public attention. Jon’s background will further support the Water Management Division in key growth areas such as nature based solutions, fisheries engineering and environmental assessment. As Divisional Director – Water Management, Jonathan will be applying his expertise in planning and environmental permitting on significant projects, advising clients on PR24/Draft Determination, AMP preparedness and long-term strategic planning.
