APEM Group appoint industry heavyweight Michael McMullan to lead Irish business

APEM Group, a leading global environmental consultancy, are pleased to announce the appointment of Michael McMullan to the role of Sector Director for Ireland. Michael will be leading the growth of APEM Group in Ireland, driving strategy and performance, and working closely with the leaders of the Group’s Ireland based businesses – AQUAFACT, Macro Works and Woodrow.

Michael brings a wealth of global environmental consulting experience to APEM Group in Ireland, having led multi-disciplinary teams across Ireland and the UK and delivering projects around the globe, including in Australia and New Zealand.

Michael has deep specialist knowledge in developing and project managing sustainability studies, Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA) for plans and programmes, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and environmental management systems for major infrastructure and development projects. Michael has worked across a variety of sectors such as road, rail, aviation, renewable energy and urban regeneration, on a range of complex projects including HS2, Dublin Airport and greenways/active travel, wind, solar and hydrogen schemes in Ireland and the UK.

An expert presenter, Michael also lectures and provides sustainability and environmental training to Government training agencies, universities and professional bodies. For over 15 years, he has been a visiting lecturer at the Sustainability Research Institute, University of Leeds, on their MSc in Sustainability and Consultancy.

About Woodrow

An expert team of ecologists work across a variety of specialist areas including habitats, birds, bats, terrestrial mammals and invertebrates, notably providing services to the renewables industry and recreation/greenways, quarries, roads and other development areas as well as providing specialist input in national species and habitat surveys.
