APEM and Yorkshire Water Celebrate Latest ‘Cash for Trash’ Milestone With Donation to Yorkshire Wildlife Trust

APEM Group is pleased to announce the successful completion of the latest phase of its Cash for Trash environmental initiative, resulting in a £1000 contribution to the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, generated through the collection of 45 bags of litter by APEM teams in 6 weeks across Yorkshire’s rivers.

The programme, which encourages staff and partners to remove litter from local environments, turns each bag collected into a financial donation supporting local conservation. This year’s funds will be directed toward biodiversity and environmental protection projects, aligning with APEM’s continued commitment to enhancing natural habitats across the UK.

Peter Dennis, who leads the initiative, emphasised the value of the partnership with Yorkshire Water and the shared enthusiasm for environmentally positive action. He also noted the growing client interest in supporting similar programmes, which demonstrates how collaborative, community‑based efforts can create meaningful impact.

This update follows last year’s successful launch of Cash for Trash, which highlighted the positive environmental outcomes that can be achieved when organisations and clients work together toward shared sustainability goals. APEM looks forward to continuing to champion initiatives that protect and restore local ecosystems.

“We’re pleased to support this worthwhile cause, keeping Yorkshire’s watercourses clean and tidy, and protecting our local environment. The trash for cash initiative is an added benefit alongside the important environmental monitoring work we are undertaking during the current drought status.”
