APEM Group is proud to showcase our partnership with GHD on JERA Nex bp’s proposed Blue Mackerel Offshore Wind Project, a flagship initiative set to deliver 1 GW of offshore wind power to over 750,000 homes in Victoria, Australia by 2032.
Located in Australia’s first designated offshore wind zone off the coast of Gippsland, this project marks a major milestone in the renewable energy industry in Australia.

APEM Group, including Biosis, is supporting GHD by providing the following services:
- Boat-based survey programme: Collecting seabird and marine mammal data across the proposed array area.
- Shorebird surveys: Focused on the cable landfall area.
- Migratory departure surveys: Monitoring species movement patterns.
- Ornithology impact assessments: For the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and approvals process.
